Irimiya Trauma Therapy

Recover. Rebuild. Renew.

Specialized trauma therapy for those ready to move beyond survival and reconnect with themselves.

Where healing is intentional and deeply attuned.

Irimiya Trauma Therapy is a trauma-focused group practice based in Ventura, CA, dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by complex and deeply rooted trauma. We specialize in working with survivors of sexual trauma, as well as individuals experiencing dissociative disorders and Complex PTSD—often accompanied by anxiety, depression, and challenges in relationships. Our work is grounded in creating a space where you can feel safe, seen, and genuinely understood.

At Irimiya, we believe healing begins with safety. We provide an authentic, compassionate, and down-to-earth environment where clients can engage in meaningful trauma work—gently exploring and processing the core wounds that often live beneath emotional and physical symptoms.

Our approach to therapy is holistic and integrative. We support healing of the whole person—mind, body, and inner self. This means addressing thought patterns and beliefs, tending to how trauma is held within the body, and honoring each individual’s intuition, identity, and lived experience. Through this work, clients are supported in reconnecting with themselves and moving toward a more grounded, empowered, and whole way of living.

Survivors.

You have survived more than most people will ever understand.

You can stop surviving - and start living.

It’s time to feel safe and we are here to help you.

Our Approach to Healing

At Irimiya, our approach is both deeply attuned and clinically grounded. We integrate trauma-informed care with evidence-based modalities, including Somatic Therapy, Polyvagal Practices for nervous system regulation, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and IFS, Parts Work, to support healing at a deeper, more lasting level.

Rather than focusing solely on thoughts or behaviors, we work with the whole person—recognizing that trauma is often held within the body and nervous system. Through somatic practices, clients are gently guided to reconnect with their bodies, build internal safety, and release patterns of tension and survival responses that no longer serve them.

EMDR offers a structured and effective method for processing distressing memories, allowing experiences that once felt overwhelming to become more integrated and less emotionally charged. In combination with parts work, we help clients understand and compassionately connect with the different aspects of themselves shaped by trauma.

This integrative approach creates a pathway for healing that is both intentional and transformative—supporting clients in moving beyond survival, restoring balance within the nervous system, and cultivating a deeper sense of clarity, connection, and self-trust.

When life feels ovewhelming.

Many clients begin treatment feeling completely alone, as if no one truly understands them. Their world may feel distant or surreal—like and disconnected, just watching life happen from the outside.

Feeling emotionally checked out, struggling to stay present, experienceing body memories, shaking, or feeling like you're in a trance. Flashbacks, nightmares, or intrusive thoughts may show up uninvited, pulling you back into the past.

The weight of trauma can make you feel exhausted—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Feeling overwhelmed by even simple tasks, carrying feelings of guilt, shame, anger, sadness—or feel unsure how you’re “supposed” to feel at all.

If you’re living with anxiety, depression, or deep emotional pain, please know: you are not broken—and you are not alone.

What Healing Looks Like.

Healing at Irimiya is not just about reducing symptoms—it is about experiencing a meaningful shift in how you live, feel, and relate to yourself.

Clients often begin to notice a greater sense of calm and safety within their bodies, no longer feeling constantly on edge or overwhelmed. What once felt triggering or consuming becomes more manageable, allowing space for clarity, choice, and emotional steadiness. Over time, survival patterns soften, making room for deeper connection, presence, and a renewed sense of self.

As healing unfolds, many clients find themselves building self-trust, setting healthier boundaries, and engaging in relationships from a place of confidence rather than fear. There is a growing sense of grounding, resilience, and inner alignment—where life is no longer defined by past trauma, but guided by intention, stability, and possibility.

This is the shift from surviving to living—where you feel more connected, more empowered, and more at home within yourself.

Our Specialization

As a group practice specializing in sexual trauma, our therapists are deeply committed to supporting individuals who have experienced sexual abuse in reclaiming their sense of safety, self-worth, and emotional well-being. Sexual trauma can have a profound impact on every aspect of a person’s life, from their relationships to their sense of identity. We believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where survivors can heal at their own pace, rebuild trust in themselves, and regain control over their lives. We are here to hear your story, and guide you in healing from the emotional scars, and empower you to move forward with resilience and strength.
