Teresa R. Morales is a Licensed Psychotherapist in Ventura, CA, serving clients across the state of California. She is the CEO and Founder of Irimiya Trauma Therapy, Inc. Teresa is passionate about her time with clients and will go above and beyond to make the therapy experience optimal for each individual client. Dearest unique human,
Welcome to bravery and courage. I encourage you to embrace that feeling of being here at this moment, finding out who is Teresa and why should I seek help from her in my healing process? It is important for you to know that I am human! I have thoughts, feelings, my ups and downs just as everyone does. I am not perfect and I welcome you for who you are. I have my own story as well and I have also endured my own challenging, yet amazing journey where vulnerability was my biggest enemy. Now, I embrace it with courage and bravery. Remember, life is imperfect, full of unexpected outcomes and can be overwhelming. Through my own journey, I developed an essential passion in helping others process their own traumas.
My theoretical approach is constructed from holistic views, which means I work with the client as a whole person (mind, body, soul), focusing on healing, growth and fulfillment. My work with a client builds on a healthy therapeutic relationship, believing we are both equal. I work with compassion, empathy and without judgment and it is my hope, you gain personal insight and discover the meaning in your suffering. As a therapist, I find the beauty in the healing process. I encompass so much pride for clients that develop insight, work hard and face the fear every day of their life. It's not easy and it's scary and can feel extremely overwhelming. But it's such a blessing and honor to witness the growth and journey in survivors.
It starts with a call, a talk, a note, etc. And you can get through it with support. I see healing every day. I witness it every day. I can tell you it is possible
Teresa has invested an abundant amount of time and money into obtaining optimal knowledge and trainings to provide her clients with premium treatment. She has completed the necessary requirements to be a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional which provides her with exceptional clinical skills as a trauma-informed therapist. She has participated in trauma-informed trainings, trauma-focused CBT trainings and EMDR trainings. She collaborates in bi-monthly Dissociative Disorders Consultation groups along with attending trainings related to Dissociative Disorders and Ritual Abuse/Cults. She works predominately with adult sexual trauma survivors and dissociative disorders, which includes dissociation, attachment issues, trauma related symptoms, PTSD, depression, anxiety and with adults that have been impacted by childhood trauma.
My formal training includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California Lutheran University, and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University, with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.
I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and an EMDR Practitioner, which means I completed the required educational courses, clinical practicum and received the required EMDRIA approved supervision to practice EMDR in my clinical practice. I am currently working on becoming certified in EMDR. I have received a Certification of Completion as a Sexual Assault Crisis Counselor and Domestic Violence Crisis Counselor.

Assessment - $220 for 60 minute session
Individual - $175 for 50 minute session
Couples - $220 for 55 minute session
Group - $60 for 60 minute group session
