Welcome! I'm currently accepting new clients.
¡Bienvenidos! ACEPTANDO NUEVOS CLIENTES
Hello and Welcome! I'm Vanessa and I am a trauma-informed therapist who specializes in working with Dissociative Disorders, Sexual Trauma and C-PTSD. I work extensively with Trauma related issues and the emotional pain endured from past traumatic experiences.
Are you ready to embrace a deep healing process? Have you experienced exhaustion with living life in old unhealthy patterns? I will walk with you down this path into exploring and processing through the core of your past trauma. Unresolved trauma often develops into low self-esteem, feelings of guilt, blame and shame, sleep issues, feeling overwhelmed, having triggers, struggling with depression or anxiety, and making it challenging to manage everyday tasks. I'm here to guide you into discovering the root of your trauma. Together in therapy, we will work to achieve empowerment, safety and strength, to sleep again, to have clarity, and achieve internal growth.
I tailor each client’s session to an individualized approach since each client’s process is unique. I welcome your struggles and am ready to work with you through your emotional pain. As a trauma-informed therapist, I believe it is important to help each client develop a sense of safety prior to diving into deep rooted pain. My hope is to make you feel safe, secure and trust that I can honor your healing process and be a witness in your healing journey.
I utilize a few consistent modalities for treatment. I utilize talk therapy, encouraging your voice to be heard. Many have not been able to have a voice and creating a safe space to have a voice can be healing. I utilize a somatic approach, focusing on teaching you how to connect with your body. Often in trauma, there is a disconnect from the mind and body. I also integrate “parts-work”, which comes from an Internal Family Systems approach. I believe there are no bad parts and we want to honor all parts. Additionally, I practice Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is a form of therapy that helps individuals who suffer from different forms of trauma, ptsd, c-ptsd related symptoms.
Let’s face the fear together in a safe space. If you are ready to do deep trauma work, let’s connect! I'd be honored to walk with you on your path.
With much gratitude, Vanessa.
